So,.. hello world as Tiger Woods said back in 1997 I think. Not quite the same thing but pretty nervous all the same. A map that has been 6 years in the making – check my Instagram for imagery from those years! More of the same to come. A website built by me just over the last 2 months. Huge learning curve here.. hope it turned out okay. This project was never really meant to get here but a natural progression seemed to lead me here. A project it will always be, never a means of supporting myself. To spread the word about this beautiful neck of the woods – this boreal forest region in NorthWestern Ontario. Worth the drive even if it means driving for half of your holiday. The drive alone along the Trans Canada Highway up and around Lake Superior is spectacular!! If you’ve driven it, you know. If you live already above it, come on down at least to S.S. Marie! So pretty.
If you know the park, have additional information, corrections, GPS tracks etc. I am happy to acquire it all.
For all the years I was camping in AlgonquinPP like everyone else, it became a fall back and I have narrowed down the areas there I want to explore now. It’s a different story in WCPP. So much to explore! No worries about campsites being taken, backlogs at portages .. fewer than 900 paddlers a year come up here – and most are Americans!
